\n<\/a>
\nOpportunity:
\n<\/strong>\u2022\u00a0children<\/span>\u00a0and youth: churches often struggle to develop relevant,\u00a0incisive programs; little is done to minister in schools.
\n\u2022\u00a0universities<\/span>: in some of the most historical universities, Italy\u00a0has<\/span>\u00a0a small, struggling campus Christian witness; in Milan an estimated\u00a0student population of more than 190,000 and has only a handful of\u00a0Christian workers.
\n\u2022\u00a0families<\/span>: divorce is alarmingly on the rise (as in all western\u00a0societies); people are increasingly living together. Family-aimed\u00a0ministry is so\u00a0important but<\/span>\u00a0is rarely offered.
\n\u2022\u00a0senior<\/span>\u00a0citizens: Italy has one of the highest populations of older\u00a0citizens in the world. Often forgotten as an important ministry,\u00a0opportunities exist in such places as retirement homes and social\u00a0venues.
\n\u2022\u00a0international<\/span>\u00a0population:\u00a0increasingly<\/span>\u00a0the ‘mission-field’ has come\u00a0to Italy; one of the most receptive areas of mission today,\u00a0multi-ethnic Italy offers a wonderful opportunity to meet and reach\u00a0out to minority groups such as the Senegalese, Bangladeshis, Romanians\u00a0and Egyptians.<\/p>\n

Far from being a Christian nation, Italy\u00a0is land<\/span>\u00a0steeped in tradition,\u00a0superstition, apathy and hopelessness. Often taken off the\u00a0‘mission-map’, Italy remains a country in need.\u00a0Italian Ministries is a growing network of like-minded missionaries\u00a0committed to facilitate missionary work in and from Italy. IM is in a\u00a0position to be able to inform and challenge\u00a0as<\/span>\u00a0to mission-ministry in\u00a0Italy.<\/p>\n
